What to Expect

At Valley Bible Church in Shafter, we feel that it’s OUR responsibility to “clear the way” for you to come to church.  We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of the Valley Bible Church family.  And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions.  How do I get there, what should I wear, what’s available for my kids, what should I expect in church, where and what time are the services?  Here is a quick look at what you can expect, based on what people see when they visit Valley Bible Church.

If you are a first time guest, upon arrival at Valley Bible Church, please park in the front parking area, just in front of the church building. You will be greeted there by friendly faces who will gladly direct you to the sanctuary, children’s classes and adult classes.

Valley Bible Church is a very casual atmosphere.  We are more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear.  So, whether you dress casually or more formally, you’ll fit right in.

Kids are very a very important focus at Valley Bible Church. We have classes from birth through 6th grade during the 9:30 Sunday School Classes and Nursery and Toddlers  during our 10:45am worship service.  During morning worship children, kindergarten through 6th grade, will be dismissed after worship music to go to our Kingdom Kids live action service designed just for them in our Family Life Center. Please note that the safety and spiritual growth of your children is a very high priority for our church.

Our Junior High Ministry and our Senior High Ministry meets in the Student Ministry room during the 9:30 Sunday School Classes.

In our 10:45am services, you’ll enjoy meaningful music and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues. We’ll even give you a helpful outline with the Bible passages.  What you learn on the weekend, you’ll be able to use during the week.  Please know that it is our goal to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God can give us.
