  1. Any siblings? 1 brother (31 yrs old) & 2 sisters (25 & 14 yrs old)
  2. Favorite Sports playing growing up? Football
  3. Favorite TV show as a child? Spongebob Squarepants
  4. What’s your favorite thing about your childhood? Being adventurous with all my friends from the neighborhood
  5. What’s your least favorite thing about your childhood? Coming home when the streetlights came on
  6. Favorite Elementary teacher? Mrs. Barnett – 1st grade
  7. What year did you graduate high school? Anything you would change if you could go back? SHS 2013. Focus more on class and less on girls!
  8. What was your strength & weakness in school? Strength: Communication. Weakness: Learning.
  9. What was your favorite grade? Senior year in college
  10. College & degree? California State University of Fresno. Bachelors of Science in Public Health.
  11. Do you like to travel? I will travel anywhere at anytime!

  13. Pepsi or Coke? Pepsi….diet
  14. Vanilla or Chocolate? Vanilla
  15. If you opened a restaurant what kinds of food would you serve? Italian food
  16. What can you not eat? Sushi and avocados
  17. Favorite song? Oceanfront Property by George Strait
  18. What do you like to do for fun? I like to spend time with the guys traveling, eating, and playing games. I also love to workout.
  19. First memory attending VBC? I don’t have a first memory but an early memory was at AWANA’s when Marcy taught me Romans 3:23 and had me try and jump to a chair 20 ft away and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t reach it. No matter how hard we try we will never be perfect and sin is going to happen showing the importance of having a Savior who is Jesus Christ.
  20. Favorite memory of your AWANA years? Singing Father Abraham with all the guys and being wild!
  21. Since coming back to VBC this year after graduating, what was your plans? My plan was to get a job as a health educator for a city or county while working as a part time youth coordinator since there was a need and I have a heart for the youth. (James 4: 13-15)
  22. What does it mean to you to be the youth pastor here at VBC? As a young man I asked God to use me and He has used me in ways I could never have imagined, and becoming youth pastor assures me that He is not finished using me.
  23. What have you learned since you’ve been the youth pastor? I have had the opportunity to get to know each of our youth kids in a personal way and I have learned they are hungry to learn about God! There has been worldly struggles in each of these kids life but being about to be there with them and seeing their want and need for God helped me learn that in the moment this is what God has planned for my life.

  25. Favorite Book in the Bible? James, because it is clear how we as Christians are to be living.
  26. Who do you look up to? I don’t really look up to any one person but there has been many people who have helped me in my walk. Pastor Mike has been a mentor for me. Lorne Bell encouraged me to get my life back on track and encouraged me to share my faith through speaking during my senior year of college. All the youth leaders who hold me accountable and are always willing to discuss scriptures with me. As well as the Elders who have shown amazing support for my calling and provided a huge amount of confidence for me. I thank God everyday He never gave up on me.
